A Weekend Escape to Manali — Where the Mountains Whisper Peace

1. After months of back-to-back work and endless Zoom calls, I finally decided to escape the city chaos and spend a weekend in the lap of the Himalayas — Manali. Tucked away in Himachal Pradesh, this charming town is a perfect blend of adventure, tranquility, and scenic beauty.

The Journey Begins

I started my journey from Delhi on a Friday night. The overnight Volvo bus ride took around 12 hours, and by the time the first rays of sunlight touched the snow-clad peaks, I knew the long journey was worth it. The air was crisp, cool, and refreshing — a stark contrast to the city’s smog.

Where I Stayed

I booked a cozy homestay in Old Manali called The Whispering Pines. The place overlooked the Beas River, and every morning began with the sound of flowing water and chirping birds. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even served homemade Himachali breakfast — piping hot parathas with butter and chai!
